INFERNAL- Cheryl Low

BOOK OF THE WEEK-February 1, 2021

INFERNAL by Cheryl Low is one of those books where I scratched my head and thought, “what took me so long?” My friend Matt Redmon gifted this book to me for my birthday last year, and I finally decided to pick it up. And just in time for Women in Horror Month!

We’ve all been stuck inside the past few months, so I decided to take a little island vacation, in...

I want to start this post off by thanking Sadie—not only for everything she does for the horror community but for everything she’s done for me personally. My family doesn’t read my books. I tweeted something about that on Twitter once and Sadie picked up a copy of my YA horror novel BLOOD AND WATER. She continues to support me and advocate for me and I cannot say enough good things about her, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying. Anyway, Sadie, I love you,...

Hi everyone, I’m Hailey Piper!

For those new to me, a quick rundown: I write horror, I read it, and I love and breathe it, and if you’re here at Night Worms, we probably have that in common. This is my very first reading experience with Molly Tanzer. Ashley and I picked this book out as a read along for our curated horror book club, Night Worms. It came highly recommended to us by some authors who write urban/dark fantasy/horror: Alan Baxter, Chuck Wendig, and Seanan McGuire. New Year, New Fear!

After finishing this book last night, I would conclude that it's horror-adjacent. I don't want to create any false hope or expectations. It straddles a few different genres, mainly dark fantasy, historical fiction, and maybe a touch of...

Night Worms Book Party: WHISPERS IN THE DARK by Laurel Hightower

Night Worms Book Party: WHISPERS IN THE DARK by Laurel Hightower

The Night Worms review team got together to do another book party and this time we read WHISPERS IN THE DARK by Laurel Hightower. I just have to say as the person that compiles all of these blurbs for the Night Worms book parties, I have never seen so many exclamation points in the reviews I’m pulling quotes from. The team was EXCITED about this book. Check out the blurbs from our review team and the photos that showed up on social media.

We have a lot more book parties planned, so be on the...
