Happy Friday Night Worms! So I have this idea for a new segment on Friday Feels. I see all the Night Worms review team recommend books all the time. A lot of the time, they have one book that they recommend the most, whether they realize it or not and I wanted to share those books with you! So I give to you my semi-regular segment, Friday Feels: Favored Fiction!
This week I chose a book that Ashley (one of our fearless Night Worms leaders) talks about a lot. The Ruins by Scott Smith is a great book and, if I’m being completely honest, I also really enjoyed the film (I know it has mostly negative reviews and I don’t care because I like it). But why do you need to hear from me when you can get a blurb straight from our Favored Fiction featured Worm of the Week? I asked Ashley, with no explanation, why she loves The Ruins and she said, “Bcuz it rulez.” I mean, how can you argue with that? The Ruins does rule! Well, after we both laughed for a while and I explained why I was asking, she ended up giving me this, much more serious blurb.
“Vacation horror at its best! Imagine going on a nice little trip to Mexico and literally having the local flora trying to MURDER YOU? Gross, unsettling, and AN ABSOLUTELY THRILLING experience.”
So check this one out, folks. If you’re feeling especially brave, you can watch the film as well. Have a good weekend, Worms! ~Kallie @pageandparlor
