Happy Black Friday Night Worms! I hope you all are having a lovely and safe holiday season so far. This week I knew I needed to pick a special book, you know, it being Black Friday and all. So I did some research on the history of Black Friday in the hopes that there would be some kind of black magic lore associated with it that I could pair with a cool book. I was massively disappointed when I found out today is called Black Friday because a long time ago in Philadelphia, the police force hated the day after Thanksgiving so much that they dubbed it Black Friday. No cool magic history. Not even any cult stuff.
But you and I are spooky people. We like things that go bump in the night and we’re interested in the monsters that are most definitely hiding in our closets. So I am going to go ahead and make today an official Night Worms holiday. Happy Black Magic Friday, y’all. A perfect book to read when you want to read about some dark magic is Rosemary’s Baby by Ira Levin. I mean, a bunch of creepy cult neighbors, Devil worship and also a Satan baby? COUNT ME IN!
After you cast your spells and brew your potions, kick up your feet and read this creepy book on this new and wonderfully dark holiday!
