Kallie & Matt's Side By Side Review of HEX by Thomas Olde Heuvelt

Kallie & Matt's Side By Side Review of HEX by Thomas Olde Heuvelt

Kallie's Review:

The town of Black Springs is exactly the kind of town you would want to move to in order to get away from city life. It’s surrounded by beautiful forests and has that wholesome small-town feel. Everyone knows everyone, even the town witch. Yep, the small town has a town witch, a curse and a secret. The elders have decided to basically quarantine the town from the outside world and, using high tech methods, keep their secret.

Mindi & Kallie's Side by Side review of THE BEAUTY by Aliya Whiteley

Mindi & Kallie's Side by Side review of THE BEAUTY by Aliya Whiteley

Mindi's Review:

I really don't want to give away too much of this story. It's unique and somewhat disturbing. I realized that I'm so used to typical gender roles that a number of things that happen in this book made me really uncomfortable. And that's incredibly disappointing to me. The collection begins and ends with a story co-authored...

“Fat Camp” by James Sabata is a classic slasher book with a chubby little twist. An unknown, masked psychopath is cutting down fatties left and right at Camp Wašíču.... does Phillip have what it takes to save his friends and himself?

As a fat child who blossomed into the curvy goddess you see today, I appreciated the insight Sabata provided into the mind of an adolescent with an eating disorder. If you read this book and wonder if the morbidly obese really think about Snickers that much... I can...

John Lynch Chats with Sergio Gomez- Camp Slaughter

JL: “I’m here with Author Sergio Gomez. Sergio, first, thank you for taking the time to sit down with me. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?”
SG: “Thank you for having me. Yeah, I was born in Mexico, but raised here in the US. I write horror, a lot of which is based in (fictional) PA, which is where I grew up.”
JL: “I’m on the East Coast myself, are you a Steelers fan?”
SG: “Haha nope. I’m in Philadelphia!”
JL: “So no terrible towel...
