Friday Feels- September 20th, 2019

Happy Friday Night Worms! I wanted to shine a light on Flame Tree Press. Flame Tree was our featured publisher for March in the Night Worms package with Nightmare Girl by Jonathan Janz and Will Haunt You by Brian Kirk. Flame Tree is amazing and they put out some great horror books. They recently sent me these four books that are coming out in October (Thanks FTP). If you’re wanting to read something spooky and scary in October, like most readers, look no further. Flame Tree has the scary stuff covered...

Kallie's Review: BLACK HEART BOY'S CHOIR by Curtis M. Lawson

Kallie's Review: BLACK HEART BOY'S CHOIR by Curtis M. Lawson

Alright guys, let’s talk. Have you ever seen the movie Cruel Intentions? So in that film, the main character is Sebastian, and as the film progresses, we come to realize that behind his bad boy, a-hole persona, he’s actually a big softie. The main character of Black Heart Boys’ Choir is Lucien and he is basically Sebastian but before we find out he’s a softie. I hated Lucien. John's Review: INTO THE MIST by Lee Murray

A few years ago I had read a military fantasy series by Myke Cole called Shadow Ops. More recently I’ve been wondering why can’t I find a good military/horror crossover. That’s not to say there isn’t anything of the sort, I just hadn’t found it yet. Insomnia made it’s triumphant return into my life and made it difficult to focus on any of the 5 books I was presently reading.

While wiping the blood off the door of my glass bookshelf (Bubs had drains...

Matt's Review of THE COMPLEX by Brian Keene

Matt's Review of THE COMPLEX by Brian Keene

The Pine Village Apartment Complex is not a happy place. Built in the 1980s, the structure is beginning to crumble. The carpet needs replaced, the paint is peeling, the wood on the playground is rotting, and there is a pest problem. It’s a dump, but for the people that live there, it’s home. The residents are quite diverse; there’s the single mom, the stoners, the weirdo, the veteran, the old cat lady, the newlyweds, and others just struggling to get by. One night, the sounds of crawling roaches and trash eating...
