Happy Friday Night Worms! Let’s chat about book to screen adaptations? I’ve had this on my mind since I read THE OUTSIDER by Stephen King. I still haven’t watched the series and I’m not sure if I will because I’m scared it will ruin the boom for me (can you tell I liked that one?).

With the upcoming series THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR on the horizon, I want to rewatch THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE. I loved the novel it’s based on by Shirley Jackson and the show...

Happy Friday Night Worms! Today I wanted to shout out something near to my heart: GROSS SEA CREATURES.
I have some kind of weird love for those terrifying deep sea animals that look like actual monsters. I’m talking about things like the angler fish, the giant isopod, the viperfish, the goblin shark, the frilled shark, the sea spider, the gulper eel, or the monkfish. Happy Friday Night Worms! This might sound weird, but after a long week, I like to sit down and read some good ole fashioned gory horror. One of my favorite horror sub-genres for this is body horror. Body horror is a sub-genre where the main feature is the graphically depicted destruction or degeneration of a human body. You may be surprised at what is considered body horror that you have already read. The Ruins, The Troop, Annihilation, The Hellbound Heart,  Off-Season, and Geek Love just to name a few popular books in the body horror...

Friday Feels- August 21st, 2020

Happy Friday Night Worms! I hope everyone is well and staying safe. So, there have been some things going on in the indie horror lit community as of late. If you know, you know. It’s not my place to make a PowerPoint and explain it all. And I’m definitely not here to rehash any of it because honestly, it’s draining and it makes our community turn on each other and forget why we are all here and connected in the first place. So instead of feeding into all of the controversies, I thought we...
